But day back on thursday salman khan has said he will not contest the Lok Sabha elections nor campaign for any political party, putting an end to all speculations of him entering the political arena.

The Congress party was trying to bring Salman Khan to campaign for the Lok Sabha elections for his candidate in Indore in Madhya Pradesh, so that this seat, which is considered as the BJP's stronghold, can be won after 30 years.
Salman Khan was born in Palasia area of Indore in 1965 and before his arrival in Bombay, he spent much time in Indore in his childhood.
