Akshay Kumar's film 'Kesari', which was released on Holi, has performed exceptionally well at the box office. On the very first day, the film performed extremely well at the box office, and seeing earnings, it seemed as if this time only the saffron color has been flown on Holi.

The film Kesari was released on 21 March on 3600 screens in the country and 600 screens abroad. According to cognizant, the film made an opening collection of ₹ 21.06 crores, letting it be the largest opening collection of the year 2019.
Despite the festive atmosphere in the entire country, the film received such a reaction that no one expected it, the experts said that 'Kesari' picked up the speed after 3 o'clock on Thursday, as the effect of Holi festival remains till the afternoon.
Kesari is Akshay Kumar's second-largest opener after Film Gold, Gold had a collection of 25.25 crore on its release day. 'Kesari' has got a four-day opening weekend and it is expected that the film will touch 100 million rupees with ease.
Film producer Karan Johar tweeted "Gratitude for the abundant love for our film, Together also shared a photo that had written "Biggest Opening of 2019 21.6 Cr. Day1."
