National Award winner actor Manoj Bajpayee has been awarded with the prestigious Padma Shri Award from the President Ram Nath Kovind on Saturday.
Apart from Manoj Bajpayee, many famous people of the sports world were also honored with this honor. On this occasion, along with his wife Shabana Bajpai, he also appeared. Manoj Bajpayee shared his happiness.
Manoj Bajpayee is one of the most critically acclaimed actor in the industry. Manoj has been giving commendable performances in Bollywood from the time of film Satya to Aligarh.
This year in the month of January, his name was announced in the list of actors who would receive this prestigious award. He was very exited and thrilled and couldn't believe it to be true. In his statement he said tha, "My friends, relatives and followers are very happy with it. I have observed that till now, no one has abused me on social media and no controversy has been created when my name was announced.''

Before Padma Shri Manoj Bajpai has also won two national awards. They have expressed displeasure when their films do not get nomination in Filmfare.
The latest movie of Manoj was Abhishek Chaubey’s Sonchiriya in which he had a small yet an impressive role. Sushant Singh Rajput, Bhumi Pednekar, Ashutosh Rana and Ranvir Shorey were in the lead roles, thefilm was shot on the locales of the Chambal region.
Manoj has worked in several critically acclaimed films including Aligarh, Gangs of Wasseypur, Satya, Kaun, Shool, Zubeidaa, Rajeneeti, LOC Kargil and Veer Zaara among others.
