The story of this film was written by Aluri Chakrapani which was totally based on a novel Devdas of Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay's. Devadasu is a 1953 Indian bilingual romance film directed by Vedantam Raghavaiah and produced by D. L. Narayana

A revolutionary movie at the time of dogmas and stereotypes, the film is also remembered for its melodious songs composed by C. R. Subbaraman.

The film focuses on Devadasu and Parvati, who have been in love since childhood. Parvati's father objects to the relationship and forces her to marry a middle-aged zamindar. Unable to cope with his failure to win Parvati, Devadas turns into a drunkard, and the rest of the film is about whether or not Devadas meets Parvati again.

This film is a historical film based on life of Alluri Seetarama Raju, Alluri Sitarama Raju was an Indian revolutionary involved in the Indian independence movement. He was known as "Manyam Veerudu" ("Hero of the Jungles") by the local people of Madras Presidency.

This film was the 100th film of Ghattamaneni Krishna produced by Padmalaya Studios and Directed by V. Ramachandra Rao

3. Soggadu

Soggadu is a 1976 blockbuster Telugu drama film directed by K. Bapaiah. This movie gained that much of popularity that the film was remade as Dildaar in Hindi (1977), starring Jeetendra and Rekha. The hindi remade of this film was also a blockbuster.

Sobhanadri (Sobhan Babu) is popularly known as 'Soggadu' in his native village. He loves his cousin Saroja (Jayasudha). Saroja's father Paramesham (Allu Ramalingaiah) does not like this as he wants Saroja to be married to a well-educated individual. Sobhanadri challenges Paramesham that he will marry an educated girl. 

He leaves to the town, where he meets Saroja's classmate Latha (Jayachitra). Latha has run away to escape from a forced marriage with her uncle Bhupathi (Satyanarayana). Latha and Sobhanadri get married in a hotel. Bhupathi files a case against Sobhanadri. Finally Sobhanadri and Latha reunite happily.
